A Unique Cultural Highlight at NIQ’s Annual Day - The Falcon Show Experience

When we were invited to support NIQ's Annual Day at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, we were immediate to appreciate the gravitas of the event. This was no routine company function. It was an evening of glory celebration, where NIQ's best-performing sales team from around the world had been flown in for an evening spectacle to celebrate success, strengthen bonds, and carry away memories that would last a lifetime.

And in order for that to happen, we were tasked with creating a cultural moment that was impactful and intimate.

A Symbol of Heritage and Power: The Falcon Experience

Falcons are not merely majestic birds in the UAE—although they certainly are. Falcons are a symbol of heritage, power, and prestige. For the majority of tourists and foreign professionals, a sighting of a falcon is an invaluable and humble experience to be affected by Emirati heritage in some physical manifestation.

NIQ requested their CEO, Mr. Daniel Chorbadjian, to appear on stage with a falcon. The idea was to make a bold statement, one that combined leadership and local culture.

What ensued was an experience unlike any other.

Behind the Scenes: Training, Precision, and Planning

We organized to have a professional falcon handler accompany the bird as well as provide a short private session for Mr. Chorbadjian before his appearance. This briefing included:

-Practice on proper handling of the falcon

-Safety guidelines for bird and handler

-Advice on stance, arm handling, and stage presence

In a matter of minutes, we were able to make him utterly at ease—ready to walk onto the stage before a global audience with ease and poise.

A 20-Minute Request Turned Into a 3-Hour Experience

Originally, the falcon was scheduled to be included as part of a 20-minute act on stage. But then something magical happened.

Guests were mesmerized.

One by one, they approached us for photographs, interested conversation, and a chance to interact with the bird. What was initially a passing glance turned into a three-hour cultural flashpoint that ranked as one of the evening's most hyped moments.

Our falcon was the unofficial guest of honor, appearing in dozens of photos and posts on social media—a unique touch of immersion that went well beyond the call of duty.

Execution Beyond Expectations

Hosting an event at The Palm Ballroom in Atlantis requires frictionless logistics, top-level professionalism, and deep cultural sensitivity. Our role was not just to transport a falcon—it was to:

-Coordinate with venue security teams and event management personnel

-Obtain compliance with venue policy

-Help with scheduling with the production team and stage managers

-Ensure on-site support on the day
